MRF-220 1 Colour Flexo Printing Machine With IR Dryer and Rotary Die Cutting

The MRF-220 / 01 is a compact flexo rotary printing machine with one printing unit and one rotary die cutting unit in a single frame. It is a mini flexo printing machine in the true sense – small enough for a corner of a print shop, but built on the same rotary flexo principle as RK's 320 mm tower machines.

The printing unit uses a ceramic anilox roll, chosen for your ink coverage, to meter ink onto the printing cylinder. An IR dryer sets the ink before die cutting. The machine is supplied with three sets of printing cylinders as per your label sizes, and has unwinding, rewinding and waste rewinding units, an electronic meter counter with auto stop, and a 2 HP three phase AC variable speed control motor.

Single Printing Unit With IR Dryer

One colour is printed from a ceramic anilox roll and printing cylinder, and dried by an IR dryer before the web reaches the die. Simple to set, simple to run.

Rotary Die Cutting Inline

The printed web passes straight into a rotary die cutting unit. Labels are cut to shape, the matrix is removed by the waste rewinding unit and finished labels wind on the rewinding unit.

Lighter 2 HP Drive

Because there is only one printing unit, the machine runs on a 2 HP three phase AC variable speed control motor system, a step down from the 3 HP drive of the two colour model.

Ceramic Anilox Roll as per Requirement

RK supplies the ceramic anilox roll to match your label type – fine text and barcodes, or solid areas and borders.

Three sets of printing cylinders are supplied as per your requirement, covering three label repeat sizes.

Meter Counting With Auto Stop

The operator sets the length in metres and the machine stops on its own when the count is reached, so roll quantities stay consistent.

Small Footprint

The machine measures 5.5 ft high, 4 ft wide and 5 ft long, making it one of the smallest full-function label machines in the RK range.

The roll of label stock is loaded on the unwinding unit and the web is threaded into the printing unit. The ceramic anilox roll picks up ink from the ink tray, meters it to a uniform film and transfers it to the raised image on the printing cylinder, which prints it on the web. The IR dryer sets the ink immediately.

The web then enters the rotary die cutting unit. A rotary die, made to your label shape, cuts through the face stock and leaves the liner intact. The waste rewinding unit pulls away the matrix and the clean labels wind on the rewinding unit. The electronic meter counter counts the length run and stops the machine at the value the operator has set.

The MRF-220 / 01 handles roll-fed self-adhesive label stock up to 220 mm wide, such as chromo paper, art paper, thermal paper and synthetic label films that suit IR drying. Share the materials and inks you intend to run so RK can select the anilox roll accordingly.
