RK F 320 / 5 Colour Water Bottle Sticker Printing Machine

A water bottle sticker printing machine is a roll-to-roll label press that prints bottle labels and delivers them as die-cut rolls ready for the labelling line. The RK F 320 / 5 Colour is a vertical tower flexographic press: five printing units stacked one above the other, drying between each colour, and die cutting and rewinding at the base. Each unit uses a ceramic anilox roller with an individual motorized anilox system, 360° unit regulation and a dial gauge for registration, and a 5 HP Schneider VFD-controlled main drive runs the line.

Five stacked units cover four-colour process artwork plus the brand spot colour – or several spot colours with black – on a machine 10 ft long.

IR Hot Air Dryers on All Units Plus RK UV Dryer

Each unit has an IR lamp based hot air dryer, and one UV dryer unit made by RK in India is fitted for UV varnish or the last colour. The individual dryer window system lets the operator check drying at every unit.

Online Rotary Die Cutting With Waste Matrix Rewinding

The label shape is cut inline and the waste matrix is rewound, so finished label rolls come straight off the machine, ready for the bottle labelling machine.

Turn Bar for Back Side Printing

The turn bar flips the web so the machine can print the reverse side in the same pass – useful for transparent film labels printed from the back.

Ultrasonic Web Guide and Load-Cell Tension Control

The unwinding unit carries an imported ultrasonic electronic web guide, a splicing table and paper holder for paper joining, and an imported auto electronic tension controller with load cell feedback. The rewinding unit has the same tension control. The web runs straight and steady through the tower.

Schneider VFD Main Drive and Dial Gauge Registration

A 5 HP 3 phase AC variable speed main motor with a Schneider VFD runs the line, and each printing unit carries a dial gauge for registration.

The label roll (up to 600 mm diameter) is loaded on the unwinding unit, centred by the ultrasonic web guide and held at a steady tension by the load-cell tension controller.

The web climbs the tower through the five printing units. At each unit a ceramic anilox roller meters ink onto the plate, the plate prints the image, and the web passes through that unit's IR hot air dryer – or the UV dryer where fitted – before the next colour. The turn bar flips the web for back side printing on transparent labels.

The web then comes down into the online die-cutting unit, where the label shape is cut and the waste matrix is stripped and rewound. Finished label rolls wind on the rewinding unit (up to 450 mm diameter) under their own tension control. Speed is set on the Schneider VFD and registration is trimmed with the dial gauges at each unit.
