Double Head Stamping Machine – RK-HSD 3030 High Speed Stamping and Label Die Cutting

The RK-HSD 3030 is a roll-to-roll flatbed machine with two working heads in sequence: a hot foil stamping head and a label die cutting head. The web moves intermittently under electronic servo control, stops, is stamped and die cut, then advances. Maximum paper width is 320 mm.

The stamping unit covers 300 mm x 300 mm and includes cross foil saving with servo controlled across winding, so foil is used only where the design needs it. The die cutting unit covers 300 mm width by 400 mm repeat length. A re-pass scanner system with sliding assembly keeps pre-printed labels in register, and the touch screen switches between plain and printed label modes. Finished labels are delivered as rolls on the auto rewinding unit or as sheets from the online sheet cutting unit.

Stamping and Die Cutting on One Frame

The two heads run in sequence on the same web. One loading, one pass and one operator produce stamped, die cut, waste stripped labels ready for rewinding or sheeting.

Cross Foil Saving With Servo Winding

The stamping unit's across foil winding is servo driven (Schneider), so foil advances only by the amount the image needs. On labels with small foil elements this reduces foil consumption considerably.

High Speed Die Cutting Head

The die cutting area is 300 mm wide with a 400 mm repeat length. Paper pulling is under electronic servo motor control (Schneider), so every stroke advances the web the exact same distance.

Re-Pass Scanner for Printed Labels

A re-pass scanner system with sliding assembly reads the print mark on pre-printed rolls. A separate module on the HMI switches between plain and printed label die cutting.

Auto Unwinding With Ultrasonic Web Guide

The auto unwinding unit takes rolls up to 600 mm diameter on a 3" air shaft, braked mechanically. An imported ultrasonic electronic web guide keeps the web straight on the unwinding side, which is what allows foil and die to line up stroke after stroke.

Online Waste Matrix Rewinding and Sheet Cutting

The waste matrix is stripped and rewound online on a mechanical clutch unit. An online sheet cutting unit is built in for jobs delivered in sheets.

Rewinding With Dancer Roller Control

The auto rewinding unit has tension controlled by a mechanical clutch, with a dancer roller mechanism and analog sensor feedback to keep the rewound roll even.

Schneider Drives and 7" Touch HMI

The 3 HP three phase main motor runs on a Schneider variable frequency drive, with separate 1 HP AC motors for unwinding side unloading and rewinding (with VFD). All operation and settings are on a full touch 7" Schneider HMI.

The printed or plain label roll is loaded on the auto unwinding unit and the web is aligned by the ultrasonic web guide as it enters the machine. On each stroke the servo feed advances the web the set distance and stops. The stamping head comes down first, pressing heated foil onto the label in the 300 mm x 300 mm stamping area, while the servo driven across winding moves the foil only as far as the image requires.

The web then advances to the die cutting head, where the label shape is cut in the 300 mm x 400 mm area. For pre-printed rolls the re-pass scanner reads the mark and holds the cut in register with the print. The waste matrix is lifted away and rewound online. Finished labels either go through the online sheet cutting unit and come out as sheets, or continue to the auto rewinding unit, where the dancer roller and clutch keep the rewound roll at steady tension.
