RK USC Ultrasonic Garment Tape Label Cutting and Creasing Machine
01 — Overview
Ultrasonic Label Cutting Machine Manufacturer in India
A printed roll of taffeta or satin tape is not a finished garment label until it is cut to length. Cut with a blade, woven tape frays at the edge; the loose threads show on the label and irritate the skin. An ultrasonic cutter solves this: the cutting head melts the fibres along the cut line as it cuts, so each label leaves the machine with a sealed edge.
The RK USC is an ultrasonic garment tape label cutting and creasing machine. A servo feeding system moves the printed tape forward in length mode or print mark mode, the ultrasonic cutting head cuts and seals each label, and the machine runs at 5000 cuts per hour on a 230V single phase supply. It takes tape up to 100 mm wide. RK Label Printing Machinery Pvt. Ltd. designs and manufactures it in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
This page describes what the USC does, what it includes, how it works and how it fits with the RK garment tape label printing machines.

03 — What Is It
What Is an Ultrasonic Label Cutting Machine?
An ultrasonic label cutting machine cuts printed garment tape into single labels using an ultrasonic cutting head in place of a blade. The head vibrates at high frequency against the tape; the friction heat melts the synthetic fibres at the cut line and fuses them, so the edge is sealed in the same stroke that cuts it. There is no separate heat sealing or edge folding step.
On the RK USC the tape is fed by an electronic servo system. In length mode the servo advances the tape by the label length set on the controls. In print mark mode a sensor reads the print mark on pre-printed tape and the servo corrects the feed so every cut lands between the printed labels. The same head also creases the label where a fold is needed.
04 — Key Features
Key Features of the RK USC Ultrasonic Cutting Machine
Ultrasonic Cutting Head With Sealed Edges
The ultrasonic cutting head cuts satin and taffeta tape labels and seals the edge in one stroke, so the finished label does not fray.
Servo Feeding With Length and Print Mark Modes
An electronic servo feeding system moves the tape forward. Plain tape is cut to a set length; pre-printed tape is cut on the print mark, so the cut follows the printed label.
Cutting and Creasing
The machine is built for cutting and creasing garment tape labels, so labels that are folded before stitching are creased on the same machine.
100 mm Feeding Size
The feeding size is 100 mm, covering the tape widths used for brand, care and size labels.
5000 Cuts Per Hour
The machine speed is 5000 cuts per hour.
230V Single Phase
The main supply is 230V AC single phase and the power consumption is 2 HP single phase, so the machine runs on the ordinary supply found in a small garment label unit.
Compact Footprint
The machine stands 5 ft high, 2.5 ft wide and 3.5 ft long.
05 — How It Works
How Does the RK USC Work?
The roll of printed taffeta or satin tape is loaded on the feeding side. The operator selects length mode or print mark mode on the controls and sets the label length or lets the sensor pick up the print mark.
The servo feeding system advances the tape by one label and stops. The ultrasonic cutting head comes down, cuts the tape and seals the cut edge in the same stroke; where a crease is set, the head creases the label at the fold line. The cut labels are collected and the cycle repeats at up to 5000 cuts per hour. A job change means setting a new length or switching to print mark mode for a different printed tape.
06 — Applications
Applications of the RK USC
- Brand labels – printed taffeta and satin brand labels cut to length with sealed edges.
- Care labels – wash care labels cut on the print mark after printing.
- Size and content labels – size, fibre composition and origin labels cut and creased for folding.
- Garment label units – finishing the tape printed on the GRF 150 series machines.
07 — Materials
What Materials Can It Cut?
The RK USC cuts satin and taffeta garment tape up to 100 mm wide, the materials printed on the RK garment tape label printing machines. Ultrasonic sealing works on synthetic tape, which melts at the cut line. Share your tape samples with RK so the cutting head and feed settings are matched to them; RK runs a trial on your own material before almost every order.
09 — Why RK
Why Choose RK Label Machines?
RK Label Printing Machinery Pvt. Ltd. has manufactured label printing and converting machinery in Ahmedabad, Gujarat since 1995, operates three manufacturing units and supplies customers in 23+ countries. The garment label range covers printing and cutting from one supplier: the GRF 150 machines print the tape and the USC cuts and creases it, so a label unit can be set up with matched machines and one service contact.
10 — Selection Guide
How to Select the Right Garment Label Cutting Machine
- Tape width: all tapes must fit within the 100 mm feeding size.
- Printed or plain: pre-printed tape is cut in print mark mode; plain tape is cut to length in length mode.
- Folded labels: if your labels are folded before stitching, the creasing function is used.
- Output: 5000 cuts per hour; estimate your labels per shift to confirm one machine is enough.
- Power supply: 230V single phase, 2 HP consumption, suitable for small units.
- Floor space: 3.5 ft by 2.5 ft, 5 ft high.
11 — Price
Ultrasonic Label Cutting Machine Price in India
The price of the RK USC depends on the configuration and options chosen. Prices are quoted ex-works Ahmedabad with GST at 18% applicable; engineer travel and stay for installation and training at your site are borne by the customer. Share your tape widths, label lengths and daily output with RK and the engineering team will recommend a configuration and quote against it.
