RK-TR-MPS-250 Micro Rotary Die Cutting Machine With Turret Rewinding (Manual)

The RK-TR-MPS-250 is a roll to roll micro rotary die cutting and slitting machine with manual turret rewinding. It uses the same cutting principle as full-size rotary die cutters: a rotary die on a cylinder turns against an anvil roller and cuts the label shape through the face stock as the web runs continuously, leaving the liner whole. The single rotary die cutting unit keeps die and anvil aligned so cutting depth is even across the 250 mm web.

After cutting, the waste matrix is stripped and wound online, the web is slit into lanes, and the lanes wind on a turret rewinder. On this model the turret is indexed manually – when a set of rolls is complete, the operator rotates the turret to bring fresh cores into position. That keeps the machine simple and low in cost while still allowing quick changeover between rolls. Both unwinding and rewinding have their own 1 HP single-phase motor with VFD.

Compact 250 mm Web Width

Built for narrow rolls, the MPS-250 takes paper up to 250 mm wide and fits into a space of roughly 4 ft by 3.5 ft, which suits small units and in-house label rooms.

Single Rotary Die Cutting Unit

The die and anvil sit in one unit, giving an even cut across the web and straightforward die changes.

Manual Turret Rewinding on Collator Shafts

The turret carries 1", 1.5" and 3" changeable collator rewinding shafts, two of each. The operator indexes the turret by hand once a roll is complete, so new cores are ready without threading the machine again.

Online Slitting With Air Blower

An online slitting unit divides the die-cut web into lanes in the same pass, and an air blower carries the edge trim away from the rolls.

Online Waste Matrix Rewinding

The waste skeleton is wound continuously as it is stripped, keeping the finished lanes clean and the operator free to manage the rewind.

Label and Meter Count With Auto Stop

The operator sets a label count or roll length; the machine stops automatically when it is reached, so every roll carries the same quantity.

Single-Phase VFD Drives

Separate 1 HP single-phase motors with VFDs drive the unwinding and rewinding units. Total power consumption is 2.5 HP single phase, so no three-phase supply is needed.

Forward and Reverse Rewinding

Rewinding direction is selected by button, so labels can be wound to unwind the way the customer's applicator or printer needs.

The roll, up to Ø600 mm, is mounted on the 3" mechanical shaft of the unwinding unit and the gauge unit is set to guide the web edge. The 1 HP unwinding motor with VFD releases the web under controlled tension into the single rotary die cutting unit, where the rotary die cuts the label outline through the face stock on each revolution. The waste matrix is peeled from the liner and wound on the online waste rewinding unit.

The die-cut web then passes the online slitting unit, where knives divide it into lanes and the air blower removes the trim. The lanes wind on the turret rewinder on the selected collator shafts. When the label or meter counter reaches the target the machine stops; the operator indexes the turret by hand, bringing the second set of shafts into position, removes the finished rolls from the first set, fits new cores and restarts. Rewinding direction is chosen by button before the job starts.

The MPS-250 is intended for self-adhesive label stock on a release liner up to 250 mm wide – chromo paper, thermal and thermal-transfer papers and synthetic face stocks such as PP and PET.
